You probably know that a few months ago our ID was banned by devArt and since then we’ve been IDless. So I came up with a fun contest… and a useful one!

The contest consists in producing a new club ID!

RULES:

Must be original character only, to avoid devArt copyright problems.

Be as creative as you want… Animation, Flash, Still… whatever you want! But it must be Shounen-ai only (yaoi and other explicit works are not allowed unfortunately ;_; )

Remember it’s for the club ID, so keep it more or less small. ><

Has to represent the club, obviously!

PRIZES:

1st Prize = Your work will become the club ID for 2006 and your name credited in our journal.

2nd Prize: = Your work will be posted in the Gallery as feature deviation for a couple of months.

This contest will be voted by the members only and the deadline is 31st March.

Not really... ID size i guess. I could in the end resize it anyway, but if the person adds too many details to it it might not show if resized. You know the 'zoon-out' view of deviations? That would be a decent size.

How about dump the contest? When someone submits an ID, then put it up. If someone else submits one then have a vote. When another one is sumitted, hold another vote, etcetera.

That's actually a really good idea. ^^ Instead of one contest, it would be like a constant stream of them! (Nya ha ha! (... For some reason that idea just makes me feel evil.))

Because the objective of the club's gallery (that includes the front page) is to promote good shounen-ai art work. Is difficult enough to filter work send to be submited, let alone filtering a work that will be on the front page for as long as someone send a new one. I gave more than 2 months and we only got those arts sent in... without a contest the stream would flow very slowly and we could be stuck with a not so appealing at as an ID.
Unfortunatelly not everything that is submited is posted in the gallery, that's why we have contests, so we can give all the members the same oportunity to show their work if they want.
